Our expertise
FASSKA's mission is to manufacture high-quality nutritional products providing the best quality nutrition that everyone deserves. Our expertise rests on three disciplines: research & innovation, production, and quality & food safety, all pursued with the same rigor, particularly crucial when providing nutrition to infants and individuals requiring formulas for special medical purposes.
Every batch,
put to the test
Each batch of our products is analysed for: microbiological, physico-chemical, and organoleptic parameters, and is only released once it meets high quality standards.
Performed analysis
-
Every batch is analysed through dedicated control plans covering microbiological parameters and hygiene indicators, in line with the Codex Recommended Code of Practice, European regulation and other local regulations applicable in the countries we operate.
-
Composition is checked against specification: fat, protein, moisture and dry matter, vitamins and minerals, and screening for contaminants.
-
Powder appearance, colour, smell, texture, taste, solubility and dispersibility are assessed against a conforming reference, batch after batch; so babies enjoy the same quality every time.
Our laboratory
A dedicated, accredited laboratory stands behind every batch we release.
-
Integrated, on-site laboratory
Our formulas are tested in a laboratory integrated in our production site, for immediate feedback and full batch traceability.
-
Expert teams
Scientific experts run and continuously refine our analytical methods.
-
Accredited analytical techniques
We apply internationally accredited methods, AOAC and ISO, so results stay consistent and comparable across every market we serve.
Where every batch is
put to the test
These laboratory tests are just one part of our quality control system. Analytical testing confirms what a rigorous process has already built in : layers of control that begin with the raw materials and production parameters, well before any sample reaches our lab analysts.
A safety system, layer by layer
More than 500 analyses and controls are performed on every batch, and a complete batch folder retraces each step, from milk collection through to final packing.
Raw-material controls
Suppliers are approved and audited, and every incoming material is tested before it enters production.
Controlled environment
Production zones are designed around hygiene, with controlled air, an ultra-hygienic zone and clean-in-place procedures.
Heat treatment
Double pasteurisation destroys pathogenic micro-organisms while preserving the formula's nutritional profile.
Protective packaging
Tins are flushed with inert gas to preserve powder quality throughout the product's shelf life.
Continuous monitoring
HACCP-based checks and process verification run throughout production.
Standards and protocols
-
ISO
Our laboratory operates under ISO 17025, covering the accuracy and reliability of every test performed on our formulas.
-
AOAC
Our teams apply AOAC-validated protocols for nutrient analysis, giving every result a method trusted across the food and nutrition industry worldwide.
-
IDF
The International Dairy Federation establishes reference methods governing milk and dairy ingredients, foundational to a large part of our product portfolio.
